One Million Bones Social Art Action Project – Wed., May 8 @ RMP

by Middletown Springs on May 5, 2013

There will be a “bones” making party at Rising Meadow Pottery this coming Wednesday, May 8th from 5-8pm. This is a fundraising event to help support the One Million Bones social art action project. For every bone made one dollar, up to $500,000, will be donated to CARE a charitable relief organization. Here is a brief description about the project from their website; One Million Bones is a large-scale social arts practice, which means we combine education, hands-on art making, and public installations to raise awareness of ongoing genocides and mass atrocities in places like Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Somalia and Burma. For much more information visit their website. http://www.onemillionbones.org/.

No bone making experience necessary. What we need are hands and some smiles to make this a successful event. Please stop by and contribute your time to this worthy national project and get to have your art displayed on The Mall in Washington D.C. Please contact Nick Seidner, 235-9429 or Beth Miller, 235-2734 for more information.
