Register to Vote by Nov. 2

by Middletown Springs on October 24, 2016

As we prepare for what will be a momentous election, we want to encourage anyone who has not yet done so to register to vote, no later than Wednesday November 2. Full instructions for voter registration can be found at the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office, at . The easiest and fastest way to register is in person at the Town Clerk’s office; call 235-2220, or stop in during normal business hours (Mon 9-12 and 1-4; Tue 9-12 and 1-4; Fri 1-4; or Sat 9-12).

If you have recently registered to vote at the DMV, online or by mail, or if you have recently moved to the community, PLEASE check that your name is on the list of registered voters. Sometimes information arrives late to the Town Clerk’s office, which can result in confusion and delays on voting day. You can see the current list of registered voters in five locations in Middletown Springs: the Town Clerk’s office, Post Office, Library, Firehouse, and Grant’s General Store. The list will be updated before election day with any new registrations, but it’s worth checking now to ensure that your voting experience is easy and straightforward.

And PLEASE exercise your civic right and duty, and vote on November 8. The Middletown Springs polling station is at the Firehouse, with voting hours from7am to 7pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
