Poultney Rescue Squad

Poultney Rescue Squad is the closest transporting ambulance and EMS services.  Middletown Springs is included in their coverage area, although there are times when another area agency will cover the call and transport.  These backup agencies, include Granville, NY, Fair Haven, Castleton, or Wallingford (all in VT). 

The Regional Ambulance Service in Rutland is the closest Paramedic service.  The closest hospital is Rutland Regional Medical Center.

The Poultney Rescue Squad is a volunteer organization and is always looking for new people willing to volunteer.  While the commitment may seem large, the rewards in personal satisfaction and community service are immeasurable.  The steps to becoming a member include completing the education course and its practical exam, and then passing the National Registry EMT written exam.  The process takes about 6 months.
