Cold Weather Warning!

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory and an Extreme Cold Warning for Friday night through Saturday. An extreme Cold Warning means windchill factors of -20º  to -40º.  At those temperatures frostbite on exposed skin can occur in as little as 5 minutes.

Please take care or yourself and others, avoid unnecessary travel, and check in with friends and neighbors, especially people living in remote locations. The bitter cold on Saturday will be followed by heavy snowfall on Sunday, possibly 6-9 inches.

Remember to let your faucet drip if you are endanger of pipes freezing. Call 911 in case of emergency or 211 for information on warming centers or emergency shelters.
