Important information of note:
Middletown Springs has no zoning regulations or zoning board. All projects or property improvements are subject to State of Vermont permitting processes. Please visit the appropriate state agency to see whether your project is governed by state regulations.
The Listers ask that you inform them of any building additions, remodels, or demolitions, so that they may reassess your property values.
Zoning & Permits: Middletown Springs has no local zoning, but there are State and Federal land development regulations that do apply. We advise anyone building in Town to check which State permits may be required. You may need an Act 250 permit from the State, check here https://act250.vermont.gov/act250-permit/need-a-permit
Permission to work in the Town or State Highway is required for NEW driveways on a Town road. To request town permission please complete the Highway Right of Way Work Application. To request permission on a state highway visit https://vtrans.vermont.gov/planning/permitting
E911 addresses: To obtain an E911 Address for a new build, contact the Town Clerk. All new house sites must be assigned an E911 address. Please check in with the Town Clerk to obtain your official address PRIOR to changing your mailing address with the Post Office. Your E911 address is based on a physical measurement of your driveway access. You cannot assume your parcel ID will be the same as your E911 measured address.
